It is interesting to see the type of criticism that is being raised in regards to Sandberg’s brainchild as well as her soon-t0-be published book. This, in turn, leads me to believe that what she’s doing and saying is hitting the right nerve.
I am especially happy to see that she is cognizant of the fact that emulating how power has traditionally been projected and wielded in our testosterone-driven world is not the end goal to empowering women in the workplace and in society. It appears as if she is conscious of the fact that it is only one of the means to position women in roles of power so that we can constructively reinvent the workplace and, subsequently, play much more influential roles in the co-creation of workplace policies and how women are perceived and regarded. This will, ultimately, change society at large.
